As part of their Literacy work, pupils in Year 4 have been writing Character Descriptions inspired by the "Narnia" books.

Lucy is a very caring child. She is very honest as well, for example, in the story she told the others that she had been to Narnia. She is very sensible and seems to know the right thing to do. She is very adventurous, like in Narnia she never hesitates with what to do. She is very willing and strong because she copes with everything she has been through.

By Lisa-Marie.

Lucy is an imaginative girl and she is very kind, like when she forgives Mr Tumnus and gives him her hankie to keep. She sticks up for everyone, even her brothers and sisters. She is loving too, and she is very sad when she thinks Aslan is dead.

By Chloe O.

Edmund is a very big liar. He always lies about Lucy, like when he says that he hasn't been in the wardrobe and that Lucy was just dreaming. Edmund is also selfish and thinks that he is better than his brother and sisters. He is very boastful about this and behaves like a spoilt brat when he doesn't get his own way.

By Amber.

Edmund is a mischievous little brat, who only cares about himself. He is a liar because in the story, when he got back from Narnia, he said that he hadn't gone and made Lucy look a fool. He is very spoilt, for example, at the Beaver's house he betrayed them for turkish delight. He is selfish because all he cares about is himself.

By Rebecca.

Edmund is selfish because all he thinks about is having lots of turkish delight for himself and being a prince. He is the youngest boy and he is a spoilt brat. He wants to get his own way. He is very naughty and tells lots of lies. Like when he went through the wardrobe to Narnia and he said that he didn't.

By Nicole.

Peter is a very responsible person, and he was very sorry that he did not believe Lucy when she told them that she had been to another world through the wardrobe. He is bossy but he is also kind. He is very brave because he killed a wolf and he went to war against the White Witch and her people, even though he was scared.

By Sophie.

Peter is very sensible although he was a bit silly when he didn't think of a way back when they were following the Beavers - it could have been a trap! He is very brave because he went to save selfish Edmund from the bombs that nearly destroyed the Pensive house. He was quite skilful when he was in the battle against the White Witch's army.

By Lewis.

Peter is very brave at times and loves his family. He is a bit boring sometimes but that's ok. He is brave because in the book he fought a wolf and saved his little sister Susan. He is very posh because in the book he says words like, 'By gum!' and 'Oh gosh!'

By Rebecca.

Mr Tumnus is a bit of a scaredy – cat but he is very brave when he risked himself to take Lucy to safety instead of taking her to the witch and betraying Lucy. He carries an umbrella to keep the snow off of him and is not a very handsome faun but Lucy doesn't mind.

By Chloe P.

The White Witch is a very mean lady; she turns a fox into stone. She thinks that she is the Queen of Narnia, and is very evil to the people who live there. She makes it always winter but never Christmas.

By Brandon.

The White Witch is definitely the nastiest character in the story. All she wants is to keep the world of Narnia covered in snow and forever winter. She uses her powers in a nasty way, like turning creatures into stone and whipping them, and killing Aslan. She is also a liar as she tells Edmund that he can have more Turkish delight and that he can be king of Narnia. Really she would never let this happen as she wants to rule Narnia herself.

By Joe.

Susan is the eldest of the two girls and is very sensible. She sticks up for Lucy and is always caring, like when she cares about Lucy's friend, Mr. Tumnus, and helps to save him.

By Sarah-Beth.

Susan is the eldest girl. She is sweet, kind and caring. She looks after Lucy and cares about how she feels, like when she gets cross with Edmund for teasing Lucy. She is also kind to Edmund, as she wants to forgive him even though he betrayed them to the White Witch. She also cares for Aslan, as she is very sad when she thinks he is dead.

By Tommy.

Aslan is a quiet, patient and fair creature. He is also a bit frightening because he is so powerful. He is very loving and brave like when he sacrifices his own life to save Edmund. He is never boastful of his powers. He is always good and seems to know the right thing to do. In the end he shows his power by becoming alive again and defeating the white witch so that Narnia can be spring and summer instead of winter all the time.

By Tommy.

Aslan is the kindest lion in the world, and he wouldn't hurt a fly (unless you're the White witch of course). He is very fond of all four children, even though Edmund nearly betrayed him. He is very generous as he gave his life for Edmund to save him from the witch. He is very smart and wise and knows what to do for everything.
