Poems inspired by the story of Narnia Out in the country the children went to stay, But one day little Lucy was led astray. She found a secret of her own, Edmund said she went alone. Mr. Tumnus is her friend, Time together they would spend. The land was covered in ice and snow Until Lucy came with her bright glow. The land was ruled by a cruel witch, From bad to good she could not switch. But then came along an amazing creature, How to behave - he could teach you. His name was Aslan and he was so brave, Had so much courage, more than a knave. He got involved in a massive fight Which lasted all day and on through the night. The witch was killed, we won't see her face, And we're very pleased as she's such a disgrace. The children all became kings and queens, They were never rough, and never mean. Eventually it was time to go back, And this fact hit Lucy's face like a smack. She cried and cried she was so sad, And though her eyes dried, she still felt bad. But then Aslan said she could come again, And that he would always be their friend. By Chloe P She was the first through the wardrobe, And nobody believed poor Lucy. She met a faun called Mr. Tumnus, Who gave her some honey that was juicy. But soon she had to go back, The faun said there was danger. He turned out to be so kind, This was very good for a stranger. By Connah In the magic land the White Witch did roam, With her small companion, the ugly gnome. In the beginning she ruled the place, But now we never again will see her face. The land was of ice and freezing snow, But the children helped to make it glow. For they have saved Narnia and now they rule, And the Witch and her cronies will no longer be cruel. By Sarah-Beth Aslan is in the snow, And Susan with her shiny bow. The White Witch oh so cruel, In front of her don't be a fool. Edmund and his cheats, All he wants is goodies and treats. If you hear the noise of a sledge, Oh quick, jump over the hedge. By Emma Lucy was playing hide and seek, She saw an old wardrobe so she went to take a peek. She met an animal called a faun. He was very messy and his pants were torn. Lucy told the others, Including her brothers. The rest found the wardrobe, And they found who? They found two beavers round the bend And now that is the end. By Joe A Haiku A land full of snow Narnia found in a wardrobe, Cruel witch lurks land. By Caitlin Planes in London, bombing away, Deep in the country, four children came to stay. One rainy day, they played hide and seek, While Lucy found a wardrobe and went to take a peek. In the wardrobe, she met a faun. His beard was curly and his pants were torn! But soon she found out he was a kidnapper, This made Lucy feel all 'flapper'. Not to worry, he let her go, Away from the land of ice and snow. When she got out nobody believed her, Even Peter thought she was a dreamer. When Edmund followed her into the night, He ended up getting quite a fright. They became kings and Queens at the end of this story, And when they got out, they felt 'hunky dory'. By Lewis Four children came to stay at the countryside Full of sadness but full of pride, Lucy stepped into the world of snow When she looked up she saw a palace aglow, She bumped into a faun Who had two sticky out horns, The faun invited Lucy for dinner But soon she came to know that he was a sinner, Lucy forgave Mr Tumnus the faun Yes the one with sticky out horns, But this was just the start of an amazing adventure If you want to know more into the book you must venture.
