Religion: Prayers - Our Lady of Mount Carmel Primary School, Ashton under Lyne

As part of their Religion work, the Year 4 pupils have been asking "What is Prayer?"

They then wrote their own prayers.

May the light always shine upon us,
May he make you happy everyday as you go out,
May you have fun at school
And come out of school very happy.
May everyone have peace in the world.

Lord gave us a house, a family and friends.
I will give a gift to the lord for giving me lots of things.
My gift will be to be loving and caring others

What is Prayer?

If you pray, you talk to God. But how do you talk to God? Here is a list.

Believe in God.
God is very special to us, so we should listen to his stories.
Sing about him.
Talk about him.
Love him.
Read about him.
Think about him.
Try your best for him.
Work for him.

But there is still a question! What is prayer?

Prayer is very important. You need to pray. Prayer is talking to God
