We made a torch out of a small cardboard tube. We made a circuit and built it into the tube, and then we decorated it. Our torch switches on by twisting the top of the tube to line up a paperclip with a split pin. By Tommy and Nicole |

We decided to make a bedside night light for a child's bedroom. We used a plastic bottle and fitted a circuit inside it. We then put on a red card surround with moon and star patterns on it. The switch is on the side of the lamp. By Natalie and Sarah-Beth |

Our torch is a two-way torch made with two tubes. We need to make two circuits and insert one in each tube. One is a bright light and the other is a red night light. You can use them separately or both at the same time. By Lewis and Joe |
