Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
London October 2003

On Thursday 9th October we went to the London Palladium to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. When we arrived we were very early. When we sat down one of the older girls spotted a little brown MOUSE! Every one was terrified of the mouse. One of the staff came and told us that the little mouse lived there and was called Minny.

The lights went out and that meant the show was about to begin. I knew that from the start that I was going to enjoy it.

The show was about a magic car called Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The owners of the car were
Jeremy, Jemima, Grandpa, Caractacus. The Baron of Vulgaria stole the car so he could keep it all to his self. The adults in this country hated children, and the Potts children were captured by the childcatcher. He was quite scary and said he was going to come back for the children in the audience. Caractacus finds the children of the baron's townsfolk living in the sewer. The children help Caractacus and his girlfriend, Truly Scrumptious, to get into the castle, disguised as dolls as the baron's birthday surprise. They captured the baron by putting a hook in his trousers which the children use to hoist him up in the air. They find the Potts children. The show ends when they fly home in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

I really enjoyed the songs in the show, my favourite was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang because it's easy to sing along to. I thought the special effects were super, the loud bangs made me jump. My favourite character was the baroness, because of the funny way she spoke, especially when she was grumpy. On the coach on the way back to the hostel, everybody couldn't stop talking about how much they enjoyed the show.
