A review of The Lion King

I went to see the Lion King show at a theatre in the centre of London. I went with my school when we was on a three day trip to London.

The Lion king tells the story of how Simba came to be king. Simba was a lion cub who had some funny friends who he had adventures with. He also had an uncle who was not very nice. He was called Scar and he wanted to be king instead of Simba. Scar was nasty to Simba and tried to kill him. Simba's father died and then there was a battle about who was to be king. In the end, Simba won and Scar died when he fell off Pride Rock.

The costumes in the show were colourful and some were really tall. The best one was the giant giraffes because they bent down and their heads went over the stage so that some of the children could touch their heads.

The lighting was effective as it showed daytime and night time which made you feel like you were really in Africa. The songs were very catchy and you had to sing along to them.

I think you should go to see this show as it is a very exciting experience. It made me feel happy and full of fun. If you have children, take them to see it - they will have a ball!

A review of the Lion King

We went to see the Lion King show while we were on our London trip. It was showing at the Lyceum theatre that was in the centre of London.

The show tells the story of Simba who is a lion cub. It tells all the adventures he had with his friends and family. Eventually his dad dies and so Simba is to become King. But his bad and evil uncle, who is called Scar, wants to be king too. Scar gets the hyenas to help him. It has a happy ending though because Simba kills Scar and the hyenas go away. Simba then gets to become king.

Some of the costumes were very unusual, and they magically matched the people that were wearing them. My favourite costume was a jaguar costume that worked like a giant puppet. The costumes and scenery made you feel like you were in Africa.

The lighting was effective because there were lightning effects, and the lighting changed to show both day and night time.

The songs were great to sing-a-long to as I already knew some of them. They were also funny at times.

I was sitting in the second row that meant I was very near the stage. At one part some giraffes bent their long necks towards us and we all reached up and tried to touch them.

I would recommend this show to all children and families. It is lively, colourful, unusual and exciting. It will leave you feeling happy and jaw-dropped!

Review of the Lion King

The Lion King show was on at the Lyceum theatre in London. We went to see it there while we were on our trip to London.

The Lion King was really good. When it went dark all our jumpers went purple. This made us feel very excited.

The people had good effects. Simba was good and it was sad when his dad was pushed off the cliff by Scar. But it was good at the end because Simba became king.

My favourite part of the show was when the monkey kept running across the stage.

I would recommend people to go and see it as they might get to stroke the giraffes when they bow their heads, and they can sing along to all the great songs.

In London in the Lyceum Theatre

It is about a lion cub called Simba who can't wait until he is king. He went somewhere he was told he wasn't allowed. This was the elephant grave yard. He went there with his friend who was called Nala. He was told not to go his Uncle Scar. Hyenas were there but then Mufassa came and saved Simba from them.

I liked it when Timon and Pumba sung 'Hakuna Matata'. I also liked it when Simba became king, and the new baby was born. I really liked the songs too. My favourite people were the monkey, Simba, Timon, Pumba and Nala when she was young.

I would recommend it to my mum and to my friends Thomas, Emma, Caitlin and Amber.

Play Review of The Lion King

The Lion King is now showing at the Lyceum Theatre in London.

The play is about a young lion cub called Simba. His father dies and he blames it all on himself. Simba runs away and soon is found by his old friend who is called Nala. He then goes back and has to fight his uncle Scar to take his place as king.

I liked the songs and the singing (although Simba as a boy sounds a bit cockney). I also liked the special effects such as the lighting. My favourite person in the play was the monkey. I also liked Timon and Pumba. They were funny! I would go again if I could.

My favourite part is where they sing 'Hakuna Matata'. I love that song. I sung along with it when it came on. I also liked the song 'He lives in me'. The part where the giraffes got our heads was cool!

I would recommend this to people who aren't easy criers and aren't scared of violence. It's not very violent. It has some comedy and scary parts and upsetting parts. Otherwise all I can say to you is have fun!

A Review of The Lion king

While we were in London we went to see a show called The Lion King. It was a play on stage. We were very lucky because we got to sit right at the front. This is what it was about.

Two lions wanted to be king, but only one could king. Simba was going to be the king but his uncle Scar wanted to be king instead. They had a fight and Simba pretended to die. Then Simba got lost in the woods and Scar became king. Eventually Simba came back and killed Scar. In the end Simba was the best king the animals had ever had.

The costumes were fantastic as they looked like amazing animals. My favourite was Simba's costume. I really liked the scenery and how it kept changing.

I would recommend families to go and see this show because it's funny and lively, and there are lots of brilliant songs.

The Lion King

The Lion King is now showing at the Lyceum theatre in London, (Sam fell asleep there!)

The Lion King is about a young Lion cub called Simba. Simba is very inquisitive. His father, a wise king called Mufasa, told Simba that one day Mufasa would die and Simba would become king. However, Simb' s evil uncle, Scar, has a plot to kill Simba and Mufasa to become King!
In my opinion, these were the best, worst and funniest parts of the play. The funniest bit is when Timmon ( a small mammal) says to Pumba (a smelly warthog) "Pumba, with you, everything gas!" The best bit was when Scar died! Gory! The worst bit was when Mufasa died.

The costumes were very unrealistic. The only realistic costume was the elephant one. The digital effects were extremely good, and so were the visual effects.

I would recommend this to everybody as it is a family show.
