As part of their Religion work, Year 3 have been writing the story of John the Baptist.

The story of John the Baptist One day by the river Jordan, John the Baptist was talking to crowd of people. He was talking about a powerful man from heaven. He explained that he was too weak to undo the straps of sandals. John wanted them to be ready for Jesus. So he baptised them in the river Jordan. Just then Jesus came towards John. He asked John to baptise him in the river. But John said that he didn't need to be baptised because he had never made God unhappy. Jesus corrected him and made him, baptise him in the river. As Jesus rose up the sky opened and a dove came on Jesus' head. Then the Holy Spirit came down too and came on his head. Suddenly a voice from heaven spoke to Jesus and said, “I love you my son”. by Gregory
