The 2011 Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week starts on Monday 28th June!
Parents are welcome to come to all activities during the week which are in preparation of the Olympics London 2012 Games.
Please support our school online, by going to www.schoolsportweek.org then click on "Pledge your support". Next type in Our Lady of Mount Carmel School and click "Find my local school" which brings up our school in Ashton. Click "Pledge your support." You will need to fill in the form and click "submit".
Please note only one person is allowed per e-mail address.
Last year we won £1000 in sports equipment from Lloyds TSB through your pledges. Please support us again and come to school to support your children during National Sports Week.
Countries represented:
Y6 - USA, Y5 - Brazil Y4 - India, Y3 - Spain, Y2 - Greece., Y1 - Russia, Reception - USA and Nursery - England.
All children are encouraged to make a Sports Pledge.
The programme for the week is:
Monday:
• 9.00 a.m. Opening Ceremony followed by dances from different countries.
• 1.00 - 1.45 pm Nursery Olympic Skills (Lincoln)
• 2.00 - 3.00 pm Year 2 Olympic Skills (Lincoln)
Tuesday:
• 8.55 a.m. Take Ten - Indian Dance
• 9.00 - 10.00 a.m. Reception and Nursery Mini Olympics (Jeff/Gavin)
• 10.00 - 12.00. Junior Mini Olympics (tag rugby, football, basketball, athletics) sports coaches - Mr Brown, Gavin, Jeff, and Liam.
• 1.00 - 1.30 p.m. Nursery Mini Olympics
• 1.30 - 3.00 Years 1 and 2 Sports Day
• After school club - Multi-Skills KS.1 (Jeff/Gavin)
Wednesday:
• 8.55 Take Ten - Greek Dance
• 9.30 - 10.30 Gymnastics Year 1 (Alan)
• 10.30 - 11.30 Gymnastics Year 2
