Our Lady of Mount Carmel were the winners of the first ever Tameside Girls' Tag Rugby tournament.
The school entered two teams in the inaugural competition which was held under floodlights at Old Aldwinians Rugby club in November.
Both sides won through from their respective qualifying groups and met each other in the final!
Our school tag rugby team completed a highly successful season by winning the Greater Manchester mini games in July when representing Tameside. The team were undefeated at the event and scored many tries.
In the recent North West Finals the team narrowly missed out on reaching the National Finals despite defeating the eventual winners in their group matches.
It is the second time in the last three years that our school have been the Manchester champions!
