Children from Years 4 and 5 attended the TMBC Playing for Success Course during the months of June and July this year at Curzon Ashton.
The course is a study support scheme and the children had great fun learning through play with a focus on Literacy, Numeracy and ITC. Activities also included sports such as throwing which they related to numeracy through improving their measuring skills.
Rebecca from Year 5 said she especially enjoyed the team quizzes, playing on the Wii, using laptops and making videos. All the children received a certificate at the end of the course in recognition of their hard work and committment to study support.
Children who attended the course were Sarah, Lauren, Pawo, Lewis, Kendal, Molly and Wojciech from Year 6; Lewis, Kieran, Michael, Rebecca, Sam and Harry from Year 5.
