Basketball Bonanza!
Earlier in the year our Girls' basketball Team won the Tameside Girls Basketball Competition. As a result, we qualified to play in the mixed finals against St George's Hyde, who had previously won the Tameside Boys Basketball Competition. We played extremely well and so did St George's but we managed to pip them to the post with a final ball in the closing minute which gave us a 12-11 win!
The team will now go on to represent Tameside at the Mini Games in July where they will compete against other top teams from Greater Manchester boroughs.
A big well done to all the children and thanks also to parents and friends for their continuing support.
The mixed basket ball team was: Daniel, Pavo, Lucy, Wojciech, Megan, Thomas, Mpumelelo, Lewis, Shannon, Jordan, Victoria.
The girls' school basketball team played exceptionally well in the annual Tameside competition in February this year.
They reached the finals in style and went on to claim the first prize trophy, beating all the competition with their finely tuned skills.
The team included Kendal, Lucy, Madison, Megan, Victoria, Mpumelelo, Shannon.
