We will be encouraging the children to use their imagination in art, design, music, dance, imaginative and role play, and stories. Knowledge and understanding of the world Our focus this term will be Winter and Animals. We will be looking at the signs of winter. How and why we wear warm clothes. We will be investigating changes in weather, and making ice cubes. We will be looking at animals that live in cold climates, e.g. polar bears, penguins, etc. Personal and Social We have circle time every Monday. This gives each child the opportunity to recount events that have happened to them over the weekend. In this they are learning to wait their turn, and listen to others. Physical Please could you ensure that your child has warm clothes to play outside. Library There will be an opportunity for each child to choose a book from the school library to take home. The children will be given time each Monday to change their library books. Please ensure that your child brings his/her library folder to Nursery on this day. Just a reminder to make sure your child's clothes have their names in them. Thankyou. Parents are always welcome into Nursery to discuss their child's progress or any problems that may arise, preferably after sessions have finished. Mrs Combs and Mrs Sheridan. |
