In February 2006, two teams of children from Our Lady of Mount Carmel competed in the Tameside Sports Development Volleyball Tournament at Hyde Technology College.
Both A and B teams played very well with the A team coming joint first in their group with St John Fisher. Unfortunately, they were just beaten on goal difference, so did not get into the finals.
