Our Lady of Mount Carmel School scooped a top award at the Tameside School Sport Awards in November!

We were awarded a glass trophy for the Most Outstanding Success in Competitive Sport in a Primary School!

As part of the prize the school will have a visit from the Belle Vue Aces Speedway team, when we hope to see them in action.

We were also awarded a Development and Performance Award in recognition of the outstanding development work in Increasing Participation in PE and School Sport.

The school received a gift of £100 towards PE equipment and CPD for staff training.

The awards were presented by the Mayor of Tameside, Councillor Michael Smith, at a special award ceremony at Dukinfield Town Hall.

Our Key Stage 1 children have also achieved recognition for their sporting achievements. They came third in the Multi Skills competition in Tameside and received a cup and £75 for sports equipment. More.
