lan Smith, the Executive Director, Services for Children and Young People, visited Our Lady of Mount Carmel school in January.

He came to present us with the top Award for our success in Primary School Competitive Sport in the 2007 Tameside School Sports Partnership Awards.

The school was also celebrating achieving the Government's 'Activemark' for the second year running, in recognition of its committment to PE and Games in the Curriculum.

In addition, twelve children were awarded their Junior Play Leader Award certificates on the day.
