In July, Year 4 went to Uppermill.
First we went to St. Chads Church and looked down at the landscapes surrounding the village of Uppermill.

We saw some quarries, a viaduct where the railway went over the road, canal and river.
We also saw animals like horses, cows and sheep. We even saw a peacock and a cat.
We put Ryan in some very old stocks outside the church.

Outside the Church Inn we saw a water trough for horses to drink out of.
Then we did some grave rubbings which came out very well.

After that we walked down to Uppermill park and had our lunch.
Next we went to the Museum. One group had an archaeological dig and the other had a treasure hunt.
It was then time to go home. We had a lovely time.
In July, Reception Class went to Manchester Airport.
Jessica said, "I liked the airport. I wish I could go again. We saw lots of aeroplanes, people, suitcases and shops."
Michelle saw lots of planes, big shops and big suitcases. She had her dinner at the airport. Michelle said, "I went because I wanted to know what it was like."

Shane saw lots of shops and looked at big aeroplanes. He enjoyed the visit because he liked the planes.
Emma went to Burger King for her snack. She saw the planes take off.
Jake liked it because he has never been there before and he likes aeroplanes.
Sarah had a lesson at the airport which she liked best.
