Nursery and Reception Nativity Play

In December, the Nursery and Reception children performed the traditional Nativity Play which told the story of the birth of Jesus in a stable.

The children loved dressing up not only as the main characters but also as the animals in the show.

The children excelled themselves by learning their parts so well and in such a short time.

There was also singing and dancing and the children stole everyone's hearts.

The Dance of the Angels

Years 1 and 2 performed a modern adaptation of the Nativity Story called "It's a Party!" to the school and parents.

The children worked very hard to learn the script, songs and dances in just two weeks and produced a very entertaining show.

The play started with everyone being invited to a Party but no-one knew whose party it was. They are all amazed when they end up in a stable to find that it is Jesus' Birthday Party.

The message the children give us is to remember that Christmas is Jesus' Birthday that we celebrate.

The Play ends with an Angel sending for a Bright Shining Star but 'Elvis' turns up instead singing a Christmas Song. The Angel exclaims, "I sent for a Shining Star not a SUPERSTAR!" much to the laughter of everyone.
