In July 2007, the pupils from Years 1 and 2 had an enjoyable day when they took part in the Key Stage 1 Virtual Multi-skills Festival.

All of the Year 1 and 2 classes from each of St Damian's feeder primary schools took part in the event.

It was a great day for both parents and children. Once again we thank Miss Guilfoyle and the sports council from St Damian's Science College who led and organised the afternoon.

Each pupil attempted different stations with a multi-skills theme (agility, balance, co-ordination, throwing, running and jumping) and their scores were recorded on a certificate card. The scores were then sent in to the School Sports Partnership in Tameside where they will be judged against the other primary schools in Tameside.
