On Thursday 19th June 2008 Years 3 and 4 went to visit Lyme Park near Disley.
The children took park in an orienteering course led by Eddie of the National Trust around the huge grounds of the park .
First the classes had to make sure they could read the map and follow the key.At all times they had to be able to look at their surroundings and make sure the they had the map facing in the correct directions. Along the way they had to find numbered posts with letters on. It was great fun. The children really enjoyed their two hour sessions.
Later the class had their lunch and then played in the adventure play ground and enjoyed a variety of sports on the field.
