India Day 2006

As part of Year 4's Geography topic on India they had an "India Day".

In the morning, they visited an Indian temple. They had a guided tour of the spectacular building and also learnt more about Hinduism.

Afterwards they had an Indian Feast. The children dressed in Indian clothes and celebrated by eating Indian food including samosas, onion bhaji, mango ice-cream and mango and lemonade drinks. They sampled exotic indian fruit - pomegranates, lyches, plums, indian pears, papayas, mangoes and water melon.

Entertainment was listening to CDs of Indian music and watching a video Mrs Rowley took when she was in India. Everyone had a good time.
