
Children at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School are going crazy for Hula Hooping!
They "Hula" every playtime wherever they can find a space and are having huge amounts of fun with this fabulous keep fit activity.
Some of the children will be taking part in a nationwide hooping event in an attempt to beat the World Record. This will be taking place on 29th May during National Sports Week.
To help the children prepare for the event lunchtime supervisors have been training and encouraging their hooping abilities. Some of the supervisors have been setting records of their own - Mrs Wallwork achieved 2080 hoops!
Freya from Year 4 has truly set down the gauntlet, achieving a massive 2500 consecutive hoops!! So come on - who will be "Hooper" of the week and beat Freya's record?
