In November 2006, as part of Year 5's Literacy work on non-chronological reports, they had a visit from the fire service, to explain the role of fire fighters and promote fire safety.

The children learnt about the special equipment on the fire engine and they all got to explore the inside of the fire engine and try on a helmet, and a chance to spray the hoses.
