Our Lady of Mount Carmel had the honour of being chosen to host the first meeting held outside the council offices of the Energy Panel.

During the meeting, chaired by Council Leader Roy Oldham, the children on the Eco committee made a presentation about the school's Eco work, which greatly impressed the members.

Then the pupils in Year 6, in the guise of Eco Warriors, performed the school Eco Rap.

The Energy Panel members were really impressed by the children's knowledge and reading abilities. As a reward the school is going to receive a bench made from recycled plastic.
