News: Eid - Our Lady of Mount Carmel Primary School, Ashton under Lyne

As part of their Religion work, Year 5 have been studying world religions. In particular they have been looking at the Muslim festival of Eid, which marks the end of fasting during the month of Ramadan.

Zaki's mum and grandparents provided some fantastic food for our Eid celebrations.

This is a picture of Zaki's grandparents holding some scrumptious samosas.

The class enjoyed an Eid party with food which included vegetable curry and rice, nan breads and samosas.
