Easter Play 2010

Just before Easter the children performed the story of The Passion and Resurrection for the rest of the school, parents and local parishioners.

Earlier in the week Father Simon washed the feet of twelve pupils who represented the twelve disciples. This was a moving service and helped the children to think of ways that we can serve each other.

Father Simon also attended our school Passion and Resurrection play which involved children from Years 3, 4 and 5. The children acted out this story with heartfelt emotion and conviction; some members of the audience were moved to tears.

Year 5 began the story by entering singing "Hosanna to the Lord". Children from all three years acted out the following scenes and they all sang beautifully, with some special solos.

Everyone enjoyed the play, audience and participants alike.

The photographs below show scenes from our Easter Play.
