The children at Our Lady of Mount Carmel took part this year in Operation Christmas Child to bring joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes.

This programme of Samaritan's Purse provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas giving to those who have very little. We hope to bring some happiness to boys and girls around the world on Christmas Day.

The children very generously brought new toys in to school to fill decorated shoe boxes.

We filled some boxes for boys and some for girls and just wish that we could see their faces when they open their box on Christmas Day!
