We are very proud of the children in the choir who turned up at the Christmas Fair on Saturday, after racing at the Tameside Cross Country Grand Prix which was held at East Cheshire Harriers Club, Richmond Street, Ashton.
The children achieved first place finishes in three out of the four categories (Under 9 Girls, Under 9 Boys, Under 11 Girls) and a second place finish in the fourth category (Under 11 Boys).
The children still managed to entertain us by singing a selection of songs from the Young Voices Concert (see below). Thanks to the parents for their support.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel School Choir took part in the Young Voices Tenth Anniversary Concert in the MEN Arena, in Manchester, along with many other schools from across the North West involving 8000 children, on the 8th of December.
The children in the choir have given up their dinner times to learn a large selection of songs for the show and have reached a high standard.
The children performed brilliantly on the night. All the parents who attended enjoyed the show and were very proud of their children. The choir loved taking part and the highlights were watching artists like classical superstars All Angels, V.V.Brown and Urban Strides.
The concert supports The Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity and CLIC Sargent, caring for children with cancer.
