Each class had a special Bread Day as part of their studies. They enjoyed a visit from a representative of 'Warburtons bread'. They learnt about the history of bread and how it is made in the factory. They were taught about hygiene, nutrition and the importance of a balanced diet.
Children also had a chance to make their own sandwiches! Warburtons provided bread rolls and a variety of food for sandwich fillings and the children designed healthy sandwiches which they were able to make and eat!
Also, as part of their Design & Technology project 'Making Bread', children in Year Five designed their own bread and each made their own barm cake.
Year 5.
Warburtons also visited the other classes throughout the week and every child received a goody bag to take home with them.
Year 4.
Emily is showing us how bakery workers have to cover their hair because of the strict hygiene rules that are in place in the factories.
