Our Lady of Mount Carmel Primary School, Ashton under Lyne

Headteacher's Page

Recently I have really enjoyed our two nativities from Foundation Stage and Years 1 and 2. The children have beautifully presented the story of Jesus coming into our world in song, drama and dance.

It gave me immense pleasure to see our children performing so confidently and enthusiastically. As ever I am so grateful for the time, effort and patience shown by the teaching staff to give our children such a wonderful opportunity. The teachers have set high expectations for the children and our talented pupils have risen to this challenge.

I would also like to mention the trips that children have enjoyed visiting places such as Setantii World War Two Exhibition, Stockport Air Raid Shelters, going to watch Macbeth and three exciting days in London. We are lucky to have teachers who are prepared to organise such memorable experiences for our pupils and for parents who support and appreciate their commitment.

I am sure you will share my immense pride at how well everyone's individual contribution comes together to enables our school to continue to achieve and improve.

My best wishes to you all for a Happy New Year.
