Homework

Monday is the day when homework should be handed in.
The homework is to help reinforce the week's work in English and Numeracy.
Sometimes during the week there may be homework which relates to other subjects.

Reading

Most children will read on a Monday.
The books must be read by the following Monday and signed by a parent or adult.
The children should be able to read the story and answer questions on their reading book before the book will be exchanged.

A few children will need ot read daily.
Please encourage your child to read books from the library.
Children also read in class during guided reading sessions.
P.E. and Swimming

P.E.

Mondays, Tuesays and Fridays
School PE kit must be worn.
In key stage two it is essential that your child's PE kit is kept in school and washed at weekends.
Please provide separate kit if your child plays lunch time football.

Swimming

On Thursdays
Boys trunks / girls one piece costume.
Goggles (with no protrusions) and a letter to the swimming baths, not school, saying you take full responsibility for any accidents your child might cause when wearing goggles.
Swimming hats not plasters must be worn with earrings. Longer hair must be tied back in the pool.

Additional information

Please make sure your child has a pump bag and a change of shoes, which they can keep in the cloakroom.
No jewellery except watches can be worn.
